The DNA isolation CTAB-method modified for seed plants herbarium material is proposed. Three modifications were tested on 29 samples from KW and KWU herbaria. Visual evaluation of optimal method is done for DNA containing pellet, PCR products (nuclear ITS and plastid rbcL gene sequence), amplicon sequencing with further comparing results obtained using those deposited in GenBank. The optimal variant of DNA extraction from herbarium material for different taxonomical groups of plants is proposed.

Basing on detailed analysis of floristic and coenotic diversity and present-day state of Ukraine steppe zone natural and seminatural vegetation, graphic model of Ukraine steppe zone ecological network developed with emphasing its structural components of the international, national and regional levels.

The scheme of key territories of the Ingulsky ecological corridor is proposed (1 of regional, 15 of local level). Characteristics of plant cover is given. Interconnections between these territories and adjacent territories are analyzed. The assessment of their efficiency, based on coherence, accessibility, centrality and fragmentation rates is conducted. The necessity of establishhing two additional local ecological corridors is proved for optimization of the efficiency of ecological network existed (Pravoberezhno-Ingulsky and Livoberezhno-Ingulsky).

In the article, preliminary Ecological Network scheme for the PivnichnePrychornomoria(Northern Black Sea Coastal Plain) as Key Nature Areas and Ecological Corridors of international and state levels is offered. 15 Key Nature Areas are selected on the base of existing or perspective Biospheric and Natural Reserves, National Natural and Regional Landscape Parks, or their congestions. The majority from 24 Ecological Corridors are situated within valley landscape type. Behind them, necessity of development of watershed Ecological Corridors is proved.

Data about qualitative and quantity composition of phenolic acids and flavons together with the content of flavonols and leucoanthocyanins in water-ethanolic extracts from two species of Achillea L. is given in the article. Predominant components is determined. It is revealed that the content of flavonols and leucoanthocyanins in extracts depends of the species of Achillea L.

Dynamics of the mail generative structures development in Canna indica L. and its 4 cultivars is elucidated. Specific traits of the structures are shown and discussed.

In Kharkiv Forest-Steppe, 24 species of Mycena are revealed with three taxa (Mycena megaspora Kauffman, M. polyadelpha (Lasch) Kühner and M. inclinata f.albopilea Derbsch et J.Aug. Schmitt ex Robich et Cons.) found in Ukraine for the first time. In general, 28 species of Mycena are given for territory studied, including data by other authors. Wood-inhabiting Mycenas dominate both qualitatively and quantitatively.

The general characteristics of melanosporoid fungi and results of a critical revision of data about the representatives of this group known from Ukraine are presented. As a result of generalization of the obtained data with the results of our research a preliminary conspectus of biota which consists of eleven species is made. Of these, Persiciospora moreaui and Syspastospora parasitica are provided in Ukraine for the first time.

An annotated list of the vascularplantsrecorded on territory of the regional landscape park “Kinburnska kosa” in 2007-2009 wich included 596 species of 313 genera, 83 families, 5 classis, 4 divisio are present. Among them 29 species included to the different Red List.

A new genus of bryophytes Lazarenkia Boiko (Pottiaceae, Bryopsida) is described with giving the name in honour of famous Ukrainian bryologist  A.S.Lazarenko. The  genus Lazarenkiaincludesone species – Lazarenkia  kozlovii.
