Aims and scope

Chornomorski Botanical Journal publishes articles in both English and Ukrainian covering various aspects of botany and mycology, geography, ecology, as well as plant and fungi protection. The journal welcomes papers on systematic and evolutionary botany, taxonomic and syntaxonomic studies and revisions, phylogenetic reconstructions based on molecular data. In addition to the original scientific articles that make up the main part of the journal, the journal accepts discussion and review articles, as well as biographical essays on scientists.

The journal is included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine (Category B) in accordance with Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 928 dated 11 June 2026 (Cluster: Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine and Rehabilitation; Subject Group: E1 Biology and Biochemistry).

Foundation year: 2005.

Periodicity: 4 issues per year.

Founder: Kherson State University (Ukraine).
